Dubai will once again play host to a very special visitor on Friday 4 December as the lovable prehistoric TV character ‘Barney’ performs live at the three-day Mother, Baby & Child Show which closes on Sunday 6 December at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Shannon Norris, Exhibition Director of Mother Baby & Child Show commented, “Barney is back by popular demand. Due to the overwhelming success of our previous shows in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, he has agreed to perform once again for his UAE fans.”

“That’s the beauty of Barney,” said Norris, “Children see him as their trusted friend, one who accompanies them as they learn their ABCs, develop their social skills and learn to express and manage their feelings. To them he’s just a fun-loving purple dinosaur, friendly, huggable and lovable. They’re blissfully unaware of the skills they’re developing through his subliminal messaging.”

Barney will perform live on stage 3 times each day at the Mother, Baby & Child Show and will educate and entertain the audience through a series of interactive music, song and dance routines. Naturally audience participation is a must!

Although Barney is undoubtedly the star attraction, the stage schedule is packed with children’s favourites such as TV animated characters FREEJ, a song and dance medley version of the Phantom of the Opera, performed by local school children from DLSM. Dubai Drums, a marvelous magician, sponsored by Pediasure as well as fun and games for all the family.

The show this year also includes a new ‘sales’ area with festive bargains including up to 80% off Crocs merchandise and 50% off Barbie, Hot wheels and Power Rangers products.

There will be competitions for visitors with prizes including tickets to Bangalore from Kingfisher Airline, Ski Dubai passes, Wild Wadi tickets, watches from Ladybird, DVDs and Barney merchandise galore!

Entry prices have also been reduced to AED25 for adults and AED10 for children.
