ALBAWABA - White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that US President Donald Trump will head for an official visit to the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia next month.
Leavitt clarified that Trump's first overseas trip will be from May 13-16. She added that next Friday, Trump will be going to Italy to attend the funeral of Pope Francis, who died on Monday. The pope's funeral will take place on Saturday, April 26.
"The President looks to strengthen the ties between the United States and these countries, which he will be visiting," the White House press secretary revealed on Tuesday. "He'll be having many bilateral meetings and talks," she added.
The announcement came after the American president's confirmation to temporarily pause a series of tariffs on all trading partners, including Middle Eastern countries.
