Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem will pay a two-day visit to Sudan next week in a bid to boost Turkey's ties with the African nation, the Turkish foreign ministry announced Friday.

During his visit, starting Tuesday, Cem will discuss with his Sudanese counterpart Mustafa Osman Ismail the improvement of political and economic cooperation between the two countries, the statement said.
