Farida Belyazid’s two movies “Bab Al-Samae” (A door on the sky) and “Kayd Al-Nisae” (Tricks of women) were shown at the Institute of the Arab World (IMA) in Paris on Sunday April 10 within the framework of a program called “Women, Journey and Passions”. Belyazid’s first movie “Bab Al-Samae” is the story of a woman, who goes back to her home country Morocco after long years to see her dying father. The world collapses for Nadia when her brother and sister want to sell the house in Morocco after their father’s death. She starts a spiritual search that enables her to solve the contradictions between tradition and modernity. The second movie of Belyazid “Kayd Al Nisae” tells the story of Lalla Aicha, the capricious daughter of a rich man, who falls in love with the King’s son. Emarrakech reports that Farida Belyazid has just finished his last full-length film "Juanita of Tangier", inspired by the Spanish writer Angel Basquez.
