Two ministers nominated by Iran's President Mohammad Khatami to take over the posts of minister of labor and social affairs and minister of finance were approved by Majlis (parliament) on Sunday.
Khatami nominated Safdar Hosseini and Nasser Khaleqi in a letter sent to Majlis Speaker Mehdi Karroubi on April 18. According to IRIB, Hosseini received 169 votes in his favor and 25 against with 7 abstentions from a total of 201 votes cast.
Khaleqi received 189 in his favor and 16 against with five abstentions from a total of 210 votes cast.
