UAE’s Parliament to Discuss Entry Permit Rules

The Emirati parliament, or Federal National Council, will discuss immigration policies, focusing on entry permit rules, at its general assembly on May 1, reported the Gulf News on Saturday.  

The meeting is expected to be attended by Interior Minister Mohammed Saeed Al Badi who will answer questions on amendments to a ministerial decree concerning entry permits, said the paper. 

Other topics to be discussed are the spread of foot-and-mouth disease in the Gulf states. This discussion was requested by the FNC’s chairman, Mohammed Hamdan bin Khadem from Sharjah. He has also sent a written question to the minister concerning amendments to the decree. The FNC will also discuss the spread of foot-and-mouth disease, as well as the settlement of real estate loans for UAE nationals – Albawaba.com
