UAE Ambassador for Argentina Announces Support for CHALLENGE
A New Non-Government Organisation to Partner with the Global Business Opportunities CSR Initiative
His Excellency Ruben Eduardo Caro, Ambassador of Argentina in the UAE, yesterday played host to the announcement of a new Non-Government Organisation (NGO) called Challenge – to continue to bridge the gap between Argentina and the UAE while supporting the business leaders of tomorrow.
An announcement was made by Founder and Boardmember of Challenge, Mr Lucas Haddad, before His Excellency Ruben Eduardo Caro, Ambassador of Argentina in the UAE and an audience of the bright young Arab and Argentinean participants in this year’s Global Business Opportunities Initiative
Challenge is the product of international professionals MR Lucas Haddad, Founder and boardmember and Ms Lina Hourani, Managing Partner and boardmember along with five highly regarded members of the Argentinean business community.
“Our main objective of Challenge is to keep the link open and continue to maintain and build upon the business relationships between the UAE and Argentina. What makes us different from any other organization currently active in the region is that we will specifically support the growth and development of Arab and Argentinean youth after their high school years, those ready and willing to face the challenges of real life. “
Mr Haddad said.
“We are open to all ideas and initiatives that support the youth of the Arab and the Argentinean world. We are here to offer chances and develop our youth to be global entrepreneurs and leader and we look to partner with such projects as the next Global Business Opportunities. After experiencing the success of this year’s GBO initiative first hand, we are confident that this is an ideal platform to continue to grow, opening bigger doors and greater opportunities for Argentina the UAE to work together in the future”.
Ms Hourani added
The Global Business Opportunities (GBO) initiative was launched in May this year, as a direct result of the vision and statement from His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai for the young generation of the UAE and the Arab World.
The initiative was designed to create opportunity for Arab youths - aged 18-25 - to be exposed to professional business training. GBO is aimed at encouraging and empowering young Emiratis, creating our young leaders and global entrepreneurs.
The participating students were divided into five ‘companies’ to create a global business plan. These final plans have been presented and judged and the winner of the Best Business Plan will be announced at the Global Business Opportunities Awards Ceremony in Dubai on October 22nd and the American University of Dubai.
