A UAE Red Crescent Society delegation, currently visiting Chechnya on a humanitarian mission, distributed Wednesday 10,000 food packages to Chechen refugee camps in Ingushetia.
The team, headed by Board member Saeed Mohammed Al Mansouri and accompanied by the UAE Consul in Moscow Rashid Al Mansouri, toured the camps to inspect health and environmental conditions and assess their basic needs, according to Emirates News Agency.
Al Mansouri stated that the living conditions in these camps was disastrous and needed urgent attention of international relief agencies.
Furthermore, he affirmed that the RCS would continue its relief program in Chechnya.
The RCS relief operations in Chechnya were launched in the year 2000. (Albawaba.com)
