UAE pavilion in Global Village gives visitors a feel of Emarati culture

Being the prime tourism destination in Dubailand, Global Village, a member of Tatweer Dubai, ensures an unforgettable and a lavish entertainment experience for its visitors. It has top notch facilities and spectacular entertainment shows throwing the spotlight on customs and cultures from all over the world. Now in its 13th edition, Global Village houses 31 participating countries that have amazing offers in their respective pavilions.

One of the must-visit pavilions is the UAE Pavilion. This pavilion has 70 stalls that provide wonderful variety of products and activities giving the patrons of Global Village exciting elements and attractions. The wide range of good finds in the UAE pavilion includes Abayas, Sheilas, local textile for Kandooras, Bakhoor (Arabic scented oil) and Arabic perfumes, trendy garments, jewelleries, exotic stones like sapphire and ruby, among many others. There are also Arabic fast food counter and coffee shop where light refreshments plus the traditional Arabic “kahwa” (coffee) are served.

Moreover, the much-sought shops in the UAE Pavilion are the two studios meant for Heritage Photo Opportunity. In here, guests of Global Village have the chance to have their pictures taken while wearing the traditional UAE dresses. In the photo, female visitors are seen wearing the Abayas while men are wearing Kandooras, in a local house or traditional coffee shop setting. These Heritage Photo Studios are particularly dedicated to foreign visitors in order for them to get a feel of the classic Arabic culture.

The local band called Liwwa Band goes onstage the UAE Pavilion. The show is a representation of the UAE’s traditional dances and music. The band presents an astounding depiction of the culture that defines UAE. The Liwwa Band performs every evening from 5pm to 10pm.

The UAE Pavilion is located near the entrance of Gate 3, and in front of the Global Village Canal Walk.
