ALBAWABA- Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, held a meeting in Abu Dhabi with King Abdullah II of Jordan to reinforce bilateral relations and address pressing regional developments.
The discussions highlighted the deep-rooted historical ties between the two nations and their commitment to expanding cooperation across various sectors.
The leaders focused on the situation in Syria, emphasizing their unified stance on ensuring Syria's sovereignty, stability, and territorial integrity.
They underscored the need to safeguard its national institutions and support efforts that fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people. Both leaders stressed that achieving stability in Syria is vital for regional and strategic security.
Additionally, the two leaders called for concerted efforts to enhance regional stability and curb the escalation of conflicts. King Abdullah II commended the UAE's proactive role, under Sheikh Mohamed’s leadership, in promoting peace and mitigating tensions in the region.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from both nations, including Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed and Jordanian Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, alongside key ministers and dignitaries.
