United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan has undergone a hernia operation in Geneva, his office announced on Sunday.
The president was said to be "doing well", according to a statement cited by the Emirates news agency. He left for Switzerland on a private visit last Monday.
"Emirati President Zayed underwent an operation last Thursday in a Geneva hospital to treat an epigastric hernia and the operation was a success," the presidential communiqué said. (Albawaba.com)
