The UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS) has started a campaign to hand out camel meat to needy families throughout Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Qaiwain, in the framework of its local humanitarian operations, according to Emirates News Agency.
Juma Al Khateri, RCS Director in Dubai has stated that a local philanthropist had offered as many as 115 camels for the February 4 to 13 charity operation. The campaign is being launched in cooperation with the slaughterhouse section at the Dubai Municipality, while distribution activities are being carried out with the kind help of several local humanitarian agencies.
