The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority on Sunday denied Al Houthis' allegations of launching a missile towards the UAE.

In a statement issued to the official news agency WAM on Sunday, the authority said the UAE’s air defense system is capable of dealing with threats of any kind.

The Barakah nuclear power plant is immune to all possibilities and is equipped with all the security and nuclear safety systems required for such giant national projects, it said.

The authority reassured the UAE citizens and residents that the county’s atmosphere is safe and stressed that the UAE will always be secure and safe.

It called on the public not to pay attention to such misleading rumors being circulated by the anti-state media which are aimed at spreading false news in order to question the capabilities of the UAE, its strength, and security, the statement added.
