ALBAWABA - Ukraine has nominated a number of new cabinet members as part of a broad reorganization of its government, including prominent appointments to positions in charge of rebuilding and international affairs.
The next Minister of Foreign Affairs is Andriy Sibiga, a former deputy foreign minister and Ukrainian ambassador to Ankara.
Olha Stefanishyna has been designated as the Minister of Justice in addition to her position as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. Oleksiy Kuleba has been appointed Minister of Communities and Regional Development and Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's Reconstruction.
Svetlana Grinchuk will now be in charge of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, while Matviy Bidniy will be in charge of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Natalya Kalmikova will be in charge of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, while Mykola Tochytskyi will serve as the next Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications. Vitaliy Koval has been named Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food, while German Smetanin has been named Minister of Strategic Industries.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy underlined the need for "new energy," saying that the changes to the cabinet are intended to fortify the nation in a number of areas.
