Jordan's King Abdullah II held talks Thursday with a US envoy on ways to revive the Middle East peace process in the wake of the collapse of the Camp David summit, a Jordanian official said.
Edward Walker, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, stressed the determination of US President Bill Clinton to get talks between the Israelis and Palestinians going again, the official said.
The King for his part expressed the hope that the US administration would continue its efforts to bring about a just peace in the Middle East.
