US Military aircraft crashes near Japan

ALBAWABA - According to AFP, a US Osprey military aircraft with eight people on board crashed on Wednesday off the coast of Japan, the coastguard said.

A military spokeswoman told AFP: "We received information at 2:47 pm (0547 GMT) today that the US military's Osprey crashed off Yakushima Island,".

UPDATE

At least one person has reportedly died during the crash. 

"One person was found and ... was confirmed dead in hospital," the coastguard said, adding that six people were aboard the aircraft at the time of the crash, revising down a previous estimate of eight.
