ALBAWABA - A small plane crashed at London Southend Airport on Sunday, local media reported in London, adding that emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to stop the fire.
A video showing a thick black smoke rising into the sky from the plane after it crashed went viral on the X platform.
According to Associated Press (AP), until now, no source has revealed the destination of the small plane or how many people were on board.
London Southend Airport said in a statement online, the airport confirmed a "serious incident" involving a small plane.
After the crash, London Southend Airport cancelled all scheduled flights to and from the airport until further notice.
British media mentioned that the plane was a medical transport jet equipped with medical systems for transporting patients, specifically a Beechcraft B200 Super King Air, and it was departing London for the Netherlands.
According to some sources, the plane is only 12 meters long.
