Virgin Megastores & Daxar Multimedia Limited have teamed up to send 200 hardcore clubbers to Global Gathering 2007 event. The annual gathering attracts thousands of revellers each year and this year is expected to be the biggest Global Gathering to date. The unique promotion will give Virgin Megastore customers the chance to join fans from every background, race and country in the world to see more than 150 of the greatest DJs from across all borders in one unified dance music site. From intense bass lines to some of the most euphoric beats, Long Marston Airfield near Stratford-Upon-Avon in the UK will be transformed into the largest party destination the world has seen.
The promotion has been designed in conjunction with Daxar Multimedia Limited, the innovative music distribution company and a sister company to Virgin Megastore. Daxar has provided the Middle East with music long considered inaccessible in the region and has exclusively introduced many independent chill-out, lounge, electronica, world and dance music labels, such as Defected Records, Subliminal Records, Fabric London, Global Underground, Black Hole & Renaissance among many others to an expanding base of clubbers and DJ music enthusiasts.

The first 200 dance & DJ music fans to purchase 75 Daxar music CD’s within four months will automatically win a trip to the largest DJ festival in the world. 50,000 clubbers witnessed last year’s Global Gathering with 175 of the world’s top DJs performing live at the biggest dance event on the planet. Artists like DJ Tiesto, John Digweed, Paul Van Dyk, Deep Dish and most of the top DJs in the world were all featured at a venue heaving with some of the best tunes in the world. Global Gathering 2006 essentially continued the transformation of progressive music in the 21st century.

Virgin Megastores staff will log each specific Daxar purchase into a specially designed web interface, which will alert participants to how close they are to traveling to Global Gathering 2007. The top 200 will all be flown to the UK on one Virgin Atlantic flight and will camp out for two nights with thousands of other hardcore and progressive tech fans from all corners of the globe.
