Visa International Announces the Winners of its “You Buy We Pay” Winter Promotion in Jordan

Visa International announced Tuesday February 8th the winners of its "You Buy We Pay" winter promotional campaign held between December 15th 2006 and January 31st 2007.

The grand prize lucky winners, Mr. Ziad Atiyeh, a cardholder from the Arab Jordan Investment Bank, Ms. Seham Ibrahim a cardholder from the Arab Bank, and Mr. Imad Odeh a cardholder from the Housing Bank for Trade and Finance, each won US$5000 returned back into their accounts. Other fantastic prizes granted to winning shoppers included free vouchers to some of Jordan’s top-ranking restaurants, discounts at some of Jordan’s shopping centers, in addition to numerous chances of winning valuable time pieces.


Throughout “You Buy we Pay Campaign”, names of shoppers paying with their Visa or Visa Electron cards, were also entered into weekly raffle draws. Through these weekly raffles all Visa shoppers were made eligible for having their monthly Visa bill paid back to them in full.

The names of the campaign winners were officially announced at an event that took place at the Courtyard restaurant of the Howard Johnson Hotel. During the event’s proceedings, another raffle draw took place, and seven winners received fantastic prizes including dinner vouchers offered by both the Atico and Romero Groups, in addition to the newly-released iPod Shuffle. The merchants who participated in the campaign were also presented with valuable gifts, as a token of acknowledgement from Visa International for their contribution to the success of the campaign.

Mr. Ziad Atiyeh, one of the campaign’s grand prize winners, said, "I am really excited to have won such a wonderful prize. I believe that Visa is a very reliable method of payment to use for both daily expenditures, and for travelling as well. I am glad to see how my loyalty for Visa International has paid off, and I would like to thank Visa International for their distinguished and convenient services. I on my part will continue to make Visa International my payment method of choice, and I only look forward to taking part in more of Visa International’s fun initiatives and promotions in the future. The return of US$ 5000 into my account is only something I would expect from Visa International, since their payment methods make shopping an enjoyable experience that comes filled with added values and surprises as well. "
