The West Nile virus claimed another two lives Monday, with the death toll from the fever, recently declared an epidemic by the Israeli Health Ministry, rising to 17, Haaretz reported Tuesday.
Laboratory tests carried out on an 81-year-old man who died four days ago revealed that he too died from the fever, the paper said.
Another 10 people were diagnosed Monday at the ministry's laboratory as suffering from the virus, bringing the number of people infected up to 238, the daily reported - Albawaba.com
