william kennedy joins hill international as vice president and executive director
Hill International (Nasdaq:HINT), the worldwide construction consulting firm, announced today that Bill Kennedy has joined the firm as Vice President and Executive Director with Hill’s Construction Claims Group. Kennedy, who will be based in the company’s Abu Dhabi office, will be responsible for business development in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Kennedy has more than 35 years in the construction industry, the last 25 years of which have been spent predominantly in the Middle East and Far East on numerous significant building and civil projects. Prior to joining Hill, Kennedy was a Director and General Manager with High-Point Rendel (Dubai) Ltd. where he managed that company’s commercial and contractual operations in the Middle East. Prior to that, he was a Regional Director and Branch Manager with Hill subsidiary James R. Knowles (Holdings) Ltd. where he led business development efforts throughout Europe and the Middle East.
Kennedy earned his M.Sc. in project management from the National University of Singapore, his Bachelor of Laws from Leeds Metropolitan University, his Diploma in Arbitration from the College of Estate Management at Reading and a Diploma in Building Economics from Robert Gordon’s University at Aberdeen. Kennedy is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Institute of Management. He is also a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
