WinSoft, the multi-lingual software maker, is strengthening its presence in the Middle East, by establishing a Dubai office in the beginning of 2010, in order to better understand its customers and provide them with software products adapted to their requirements.

For almost two years, WinSoft has been enhancing its presence in the GCC region and already has a representative in Qatar as well as strong relationships with its regional distributors GraphEast and Aptec. Furthermore, as a result of last year’s Gitex, the leading specialist in localising software in the region has seen an increase in demand for Tasmeem software.

WinSoft is expecting a further sales increase for Tasmeem 4, which will be demonstrated for the first time in the Middle East at Gitex Technology Week 2009. Tasmeem 4 will highlight the Position Tuner, a powerful feature that enables the user to drag and drop any glyph, diacritics or dots to create work suited for the creative, publishing and design industries in the region.

“The Middle East, particularly GCC, is one of the important markets for WinSoft and for years, we have been focusing and reinforcing our presence in this region. We have had a full time WinSoft representative in Doha catering to the requirements of our customers since March 2008 and we are currently in the process of opening a local office in Dubai,” said Kamel Gaddas, Chief Executive Officer, WinSoft.

“We are privileged to experience a constant growth in demand for our Arabic software products, particularly Tasmeem, from this region. We hope that through the opening of our Dubai office, we will be able to better serve our customers and raise awareness of international firms on the importance of adapting and localising their global products in order to better fit Middle Eastern users’ requirements and expectations,” he added.

Tasmeem 4 and its new range of specially designed fonts turn Adobe® InDesign CS4®, the Middle Eastern version into the ultimate Arabic typesetting and design tool. Tasmeem adds calligraphic variety and typographic accuracy without compromising any InDesign functionality, including Unicode compliance with text remaining searchable and interchangeable.

WinSoft will also showcase the latest Adobe and FileMaker Arabic and Middle Eastern versions such as Adobe CS4 products, FileMaker® Pro 10, Pro 10 Advanced and Server at Gitex. Additionally, users can now take advantage of the Tasmeem technology to send elegant, customisable Arabic greeting cards on the web or iPhone applications using eTasmeem via

Winsoft will be located at stand C4-20 at GITEX Technology Week from 18-22 October 2009 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
