Representatives from the nine Rolls-Royce Motor Cars dealerships across the Middle East attended a conference held in Muscat, Oman, to discuss the development of the company’s aftersales and service operation as it sets to expand. A new convertible model is set for launch in 2007 and Rolls-Royce has announced that it is developing a new model, priced below the Phantom, for launch around the turn of the decade.

Rolls-Royce plans to implement wireless technology in all Rolls-Royce workshops throughout the Middle East during the next two years. Vehicle diagnosis and software updates will be more flexible and faster by using these systems.

The Middle East division of the company has been strengthened recently with the appointment of Ayman Ghanem as Regional Aftersales Manager.

“Ayman joins the Rolls-Royce team as a highly experienced expert in automotive aftersales,” said Peter Schoppmann, Regional Sales Director for Rolls-Royce in the Middle East, “We welcome him to the region, where his role will form a key part in the continued and successful growth of Rolls-Royce in this vitally important market for us.”

The Rolls-Royce Phantom remains the best-selling super luxury car in the world, with sales in 2005 at a 15-year-high. The company expects to sell about 800 motor cars in 2006, an increase on 2005.  Next year Rolls-Royce will have a three model line-up, with the new convertible set to join the Phantom family.
