World Class Entertainment at BurJuman during Dubai Shopping Festival 2009
Combining irresistible designer discounts and a carnival of entertainment and family activities, BurJuman is the place to visit this Dubai Shopping Festival.
During the month-long shopping extravaganza, which will take place until February 15, BurJuman will host the popular jazz/fusion ensemble Drums of the World. The group will perform Drums of the World, an international mix of music featuring instruments such as tables, clay pots and bongos. The captivating performance will take place in the Observatory from 6pm to 9pm on January 23 and 24.
Continuing its strong community focus, BurJuman will offer fun-packed workshops for children. The first event will be Fashion Studio – a workshop giving children the chance to put their imagination to the test and dress up as their favourite characters. They can have their photos taken in their outfits and add the snapshots to the family album. Fashion Studio will take place at the Glass Bridge from 5pm to 9pm on January 22, 23 and 24.
For the aspiring young artists, the Balloons, Arts and Crafts workshop will be held from 5pm to 9pm on January 29, 30 and 31 and also on February 5, 6 and 7. Balloons will abound, with talented balloon benders who will teach children how to transform balloons into simple and fun shapes. The workshops will teach children how to create amazing artworks, such as sand art and ornaments.
Shoppers will enjoy the festive atmosphere; with musicians performing at popular retail locations and roaming performers Giant Flowers and Stilt Walkers traversing BurJuman’s stores and food court. Creations, BurJuman’s annual fashion show, will be held from January 23 to 31 in the Observatory, with two daily runway performances at 6:30pm and 7:40pm.
