World quality commitment award for al Gurg

UAE-based Al Gurg Building Services, part of the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, today announced its success on the world stage - picking up a Gold Award for World Quality Commitment at the International Quality Convention in Paris.

Companies from 54 nations around the globe gathered at the convention and the World
Quality Commitment (WQC) Awards, organised by Business Initiative Directions (BID). Established more than 20 years ago, the awards recognise and reward global excellence in quality standards, leadership, technology and innovation.

Event organisers praised Al Gurg Building Services Company for its strong commitment to quality and excellence, with President of B.I.D. Jose E. Prieto commenting that winning companies “are symbols of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation, making them models for others in their sectors”.

Abdulla Al Gurg, Group General Manager, and D.P.S. Kapoor, General Manager accepted the Award on behalf of Al Gurg Building Services Company at the convention.   Abdulla Al Gurg said, “As a Group, establishing and adhering to quality standards and global business best practice has never been more important. Quality commitment impacts on our business strategy, on HR, on manufacturing, on customer service - in short on every aspect of our business.

Al Gurg joins a distinguished list of previous winners of WQC Awards including: ING Funds in Holland; Taiwan-based China Steel Corp; India’s NTPC Ltd; Tata Elxsi, part of global conglomerate the Tata Group; Turner Construction – praised for its work on Burj Khalifa; Russian electricity giant RAO; and US Fortune 500 hi-tech company Alcoa.
