Adding to the growing list of exhibitors taking part in the region’s leading education event, Xerox Emirates has confirmed its participation at GESS 2010 (Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions). The company will showcase its tailor made solutions which have helped educational institutions around the world streamline their work flow, reduce operational cost and increase productivity.
During the region’s leading educational solutions and supplies event, Xerox will be showcasing its cost saving managed service solutions, including Print-on-Demand, Exam printing solution, and Xerox Docushare, as well as flagship colour solutions targeted at the education sector.
One of the key highlights of Xerox’s presence at GESS is its DocuShare solution. The technology helps educational institutions save significant amount of time and resources by efficiently archiving paper documents digitally that can be easily accessed by teachers, parents and also be securely shared with external educational experts.
Commenting on the company’s participation at GESS 2010, Andrew Hurt, General Manager, Xerox Emirates, said: “Our participation at GESS, underscores our commitment to supporting education in the Middle East through technology. The education industry today requires a significant amount of data and documentation, and our managed services solutions to be showcased at GESS will demonstrate techniques by which schools of all levels and sizes can focus less on processing paperwork and more on what matters most – meeting their students’ educational needs.”
A recent industry study by IDC indicates organisations in the educational sector in the UAE spend approximately USD 167 million on IT related products and services. The managed services and tailor made solutions showcased at this year’s GESS can help reduce this cost and optimize workflow in schools across the region.
Sue Rothwell, Group Event Director, F&E commented: “Xerox’s presence at GESS 2010 is yet another highlight for this year’s show and reinforces our unique offering in the market as the only education show which addresses the entire spectrum of educational needs. With the education sector in the UAE representing such an important market for document management technology, GESS is a priority event for both the education and technology sectors in the Middle East.”
GESS 2010 already has more than 180 confirmed companies participating at this year’s event, and is expecting over 200 when the show opens. GESS runs from February 23 -25, 2010 in conjunction with the Global Education Forum at the Airport Expo Centre, Dubai.
