Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh has dismissed governor of the Marib province, Naji Abdullah Assoufi.

The President of Yemen issued republican decree No. 188/2002 on Sunday sacking Assoufi.

Meanwhile, another decree, No. 189/2002 was issued, thus appointing Abdullah Ali Annassi in place of Assoufi.

Annassi, who served as governor of the Amran province, was replaced by Taha Abdullah Hajar, the former deputy governor of Hadhramout province. (Albawaba.com)
