Death Toll Rises to 103 in Deadly Kabul Bombing

The number of people killed in the deadliest bombing in the Afghan capital Kabul on Saturday has surged to 103, with 235 more injured, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Sunday.

The suicide car bombing took place at around 1:00 p.m. in front of the Ministry's old building and in the vicinity of Gamhoriat Hospital.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast.

Interior Minister Wais Barmak said that 103 people were killed and 235, including 30 policemen, were injured.

The injured have been shifted to Ghamhoriat, Emergency, Wazir Akbar Khan and National Directorate of Security (NDS) hospitals.

Four suspects have been arrested.
