ALBAWABA - A migrant believed to be allegedly from Algeria made headlines after raping a disabled man in Nantes, France in Atlantis shopping mall, according to Remix News and Views.
The disabled man's mother left him in the mall's public toilet where the migrant raped him at around 3 p.m. The man was later accused of rape, put in detention, and later arrested by the police after trying to escape.
The victim's mother said that she started to worry when her 25-year-old son didn't return from the restroom.
Atlantis shopping mall revealed that it has surveillance cameras installed in halls and areas of all of its public restrooms. Director of shopping centers Alexandra Farci added, "Our toilet halls and bathroom areas are filmed."
Migrant accused of raping disabled man in France
The incident in question caused quite a stir on social media platforms including Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) with users showcasing their disagreement with their governments for allowing as many migrants in from other countries.
Footage of the incident quickly circulated on social media and showcased the migrant trying to push the disabled man into one of the toilets while looking around suspiciously. Later, the mother appeared in the footage concerned for her son who took a while to come out of the bathroom.
According to Ouest France, The suspect was revealed to be a 36-year-old Algerian man who is currently homeless and living illegally in France. Moreover, he was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics at the time of the shocking incident.
