Highlighting the private life of Qatar's young prince, the Los Angeles Times has revealed a lot of unexpected details about the lavish lifestyle led by the younger brother of Qatar's Emir.

In a lengthy report published last Thursday, the LA-based newspaper went into details about "wild activities" carried out by Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, who moved to Los Angeles for studies in 2011, "boosting the economy at the city accustomed to hosting world-class and wealthy celebrities."

The report points at Sheikh Khalifa's extravagant lifestyle since day one, highlighting that he arrived at the city onboard a private jet and stayed at a fairly expensive hotel where the 1990 Pretty Woman movie was filmed.

The 20-year-old prince was admitted to the University of South California in 2011, at a time Qatar was led by his father, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani before he handed over power to his fourth son, Tamim, in 2013.

According to the Times, who couldn't interview him or any of the people in his close circles, Sheikh Khalifa's spokesman described questions sent by The Times as "racially insensitive, if not outright bigoted."

Touching on the prince's luxurious life, the report explains that it wasn't "a typical one for undergraduate students," especially that he was "accompanied by a fleet of servants." The paper continues to claim that the prince routinely attended Los Angeles Lakers' games staying in fancy hotel suits and that he was a regular at Las Vegas' casinos.

The prince, who joined his country's internal security service upon graduation and returning to Qatar, became an interesting subject to the Los Angeles Times after the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal in the United States; where several US universities were found guilty of receiving bribes from wealthy parents to facilitate admission of their, otherwise, unqualified kids.

Besides "special treatment and a graduate student helping him out during his studies," the Qatari young prince reportedly "showered several university officials with expensive gifts to secure benefits." According to the same report, the Shiekh was "handed" a Master's degree later despite "not stepping a foot on campus."

The report goes on with further anecdotes describing the Sheik's behavior in the United States, especially his relationships with former members of the Kardashian family, namely the ex-boyfriend of Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick.

Translation: "Qatar has granted more than $1 billion to US universities, which makes it the biggest foreign donor to American educational institutes. This article explains how Khalifa bin Hamad had bought his degree from the University of Southern California. Qatari bribes never stop."
