ALBAWABA - Retired U.S. Colonel, Douglas Macgregor exposed a failed plan by American special forces to enter the Gaza Strip and free Israeli hostages taken by Hamas.
According to Macgregor during an interview with American talk show host, Tucker Carlson, the U.S. special forces joined a mission with Israeli special forces to save the hostages taken by Hamas during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
According to an Israeli army spokesperson, Palestinian fighters took over 200 hostages during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on Oct. 7.
The retired colonel said to Tucker Carlson: U.S. special forces and Israeli special forces attempted to enter Gaza to "reconnoiter" hostages taken by Hamas but they "came under heavy fire."
Douglas Macgregor further added during the interview that American special forces "were shot to pieces, took heavy losses, I understand".
Hamas Al-Aqsa Flood operation
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel, which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip, captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
