Video: Bangkok skyscraper collapses amid 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar

ALBAWABA -A massive 7.7-magnitude earthquake jolted central Myanmar on Friday, the United States Geological Survey reported.

According to BBC, the strong quake central happened 16km (10 miles) northwest of the city of Sagaing at a depth of 10km.

Strong tremors were felt in Thailand and Yunnan city in China. Many clips were shared online showing the aftermath of the earthquake where streets and buildings were damaged.

Not only in Myanmar, but also some buildings were damaged in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, and people were seen evacuating to the streets.

A video went viral on social media showing an under-construction skyscraper collapsing after the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that hit the country. Workers were seen fleeing the scene to survive the collapse.

At least 43 workers are trapped under the rubble, police and rescuers confirmed in Bangkok after a powerful earthquake hit the city, AFP added.
