ALBAWABA - A horrifying video recently flooded X (formerly Twitter), capturing an elephant on a rampage in India, leaving 22 people dead in the span of 10 days.
According to TMZ, alongside the people who died was an expert who was called in to attempt to de-escalate the terrifying situation. The elephant went on a rampage in India’s Jharkhand state, specifically in Chaibasa.
Among the victims were also a couple and their two children, who were crushed to death by the elephant. The video captured people trying to flee on foot, prompting authorities to advise residents to remain indoors and stay away from nearby forests.

Several other specialist teams also rushed towards the incident in an attempt to stop the elephant. However, reports indicate that authorities have yet to de-escalate the situation as the deployed teams also failed to stop the mammal.
According to the BBC, most deaths occurred between 1 and 9 January at night. Divisional forest officer Kuldeep Meena said, "This is an unprecedented situation. It's the first time such a pattern of fatalities has been linked to a single male elephant in the region."
Meena added that the male elephant could've been agitated because it's in its mating phase, which causes heightened aggression due to an increase in testosterone levels.
