ALBAWABA — A guy in Luxor has been detained by Egyptian police after a distressing video of him killing a cat in real time went viral on Facebook, sparking anger throughout the country.
Shortly after the video went viral on social media, security officials arrested the 28-year-old guy from Esna city in southern Egypt. According to authorities, he was questioned right away, and legal action will be taken shortly.
The guy was seen approaching the cat and then murdering it with a sharp object in the disturbing video, which was captured in the last few days. Social media users expressed their outrage at the horrifying picture, with many demanding immediate justice.
