RAK Ceramics extends support to 2nd RAK Terry Fox Run

RAK Ceramics, the world's largest ceramic tiles & sanitaryware manufacturing company, has announced that it has participated as sponsor of the recently concluded second annual RAK Terry Fox Run, which was organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. In line with its corporate social responsibility program, RAK Ceramics revealed that it also encouraged its staff to support the run as at least 100 employees attended the charitable running event, which was held on March 4, 2011, at The Majlis RAK Corniche.

Funds raised during the 2nd RAK Terry Fox Run will be donated to the UAE University Hospital in Al Ain where various cancer research projects are being conducted. The Terry Fox Run is an international movement that aims to raise money for research institutions accredited by the International Union Against Cancer in Geneva.
