What were they thinking? Abu Dhabi Film Festival’s worst-dressed celebs out in force

Walking the red carpet is one opportunity every starlet likes to capitalize on - relishing that magical moment to strut her God-given and stylist-served stuff, on the heels of intense preparation to assemble that perfect, fully-accessorized get up for the glitzy event.

This year’s 7th edition of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival (24 Oct - 2 Nov) rolled out another hotly anticipated red carpet. Calendars were set and stylists were called in for the pre-festival fashion fanfare.

Well it seems some of our celebs, old and young, skipped the fashion advice! Despite all the serious dough these divas invest in their looks, some of the stars’ styles left something to be desired. Certain wardrobe choices sported at these glamorous events left us spinning and wondering why on earth they said “yes” to that dress!

We’ll be honest, most of the dudes did just fine in their selection of attire, but some of the chicks in the house qualified as the “unnatural disasters” of the evening.

Somebody needed to unleash the Fashion Police on their behinds, and that's where we are stepping in! This should-be-glam event saw more Gagas than Gwennys throwing their fashion faux-pas on-stage.

Here’s our unfortunate list of those who looked more drab than fab in our head-to-toe inspection-- we've spared no feelings in this un-fashion parade, lined-up for the shooting squad.

Jwana Karam

Easy on the eyeliner Jwana Karam! You didn’t do too badly with your choice of gown for the evening, but you went overboard with the kohl on your Karam! Those batman eyes drown out your okayish choice of dress; you're celeb-skating on thin ice, missy!

Kinda Alloush

Kinda Alloush, why didn’t you say “no, no, no” to your stylist before heading out a night painting the town red-carpet? The dress looks pretty from the waist down, but we can't get past your torso layered in trashy lace and those runaway boobs. Sorry, sista! This little black dress does ‘little’ to flatter your figure.

Nesreen Tafesh

Is the greasy-hair look in fashion atm? Looks like it judging by Nesreen Tafesh’s lubricated locks. And hasn’t the Chelsea Flower Show already passed? Those unflattering buds on her shoulders tell otherwise. And, freeze! Move another inch and your buxom figure will betray you, letting your lady lumps pop out of place!

Suzanne Najmeddine

This extraterrestrial look makes us think that Suzanne Najmeddine robbed an alien on her way to the festival. It’s the shimmery silver quilted material with splodges of paint in all the wrong places that screams space cadet! As for the makeup, the Joker wants his lipstick back, Suzie!

Mervat Amin

Mervat Amin, you’re so classy & beautiful, but why isn’t your dress screaming the same attributes? The color is depressing and the pattern is so old-curtain. Go back to your tailor and have him spin you a Hollywood classic, like yourself!

Zina Yazji

Sorry, but we’ve seen this dress a gazillion times before… at the school prom! Zina Yazji, yes, you don’t look quite senior citizen yet, but it doesn’t mean that you have to dress like a junior at prom! Give the dress back to that Prom Queen and head out to Dior for a touch of sophistication, adult-style!

Lebleba

Frankenstein’s bride: Too heavy on the sequincing and perhaps the veil should be reserved for that bridal occasion! Feels like Lebleba borrowed this little number from Sabah! Halloween is over darling and o-so baroque risks being tres vulgaire!

Huda Al Khatib

Here’s what we think of Huda Al Khatib’s “dress”: It belongs to her nightstand, not her evening wardrobe! The clue that this get-up is more nightdress or negligee than evening gown is in the exposed black slip, the tacky pink material and the messy bed-hair! Do us a favor Huda, lose that silver lunchbox you’re carrying!
