Lantern Festival Celebrations Wrap-up Lunar New Year

Lantern Festival, also known as Yuan Xiao Festival, is celebrated on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar. It marks the first full moon of the new lunar year and the end of the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) celebrations. During the Lantern Festival lanterns are released to honor deceased ancestors and other celebrations take place throughout the day.
