Morocco's Soufiane El Bakkali wins gold in 3000m steeplechase

Morocco's Soufiane El Bakkali won the men's 3000m steeplechase gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Wednesday.

The Moroccan became the first man to win back-to-back gold medals at the 3000m steeplechase in the Olympics since 1932.

The 28-year-old finished in 8:06.05, followed by Kenneth Rooks of the United States in 8:06.41, while Kenya’s Abraham Kibiwot took bronze with 8:06.47.
