Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata revealed the reasons behind turning down a lucrative offer to join the Saudi Pro League.

The former Juvenuts and Real Madrid star is having the time of his life after scoring 12 goals in 15 appearances this season.

Although his deal at Atletico is set to expire in the summer, the 31-year-old is keen on staying and winning titles.

He is also eager to represent Spain in the upcoming Euros next year.

Morata told @radioestadion as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “I didn’t consider going to Saudi clubs. It was a big proposal but not €50m as was said in the press”.

“I wanted to stay at Atléti and win titles here, I also didn’t want to lose my place in Spanish NT”.
