ALBAWABA - Cemre Baysel and Mert Yazıcıoğlu finish latest Go Türkiye project.
Filming has officially wrapped on “Kalbimin Rotası Karadeniz” (The Route of My Heart is the Black Sea), the latest installment in the Go Türkiye promotional miniseries project created by the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA). Starring Cemre Baysel and Mert Yazıcıoğlu, the production is now entering post-production ahead of its international release.
The Go Türkiye series has become one of TGA's flagship global tourism campaigns, combining cinematic storytelling with the promotion of Türkiye's cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and natural landscapes. According to TGA, the campaign has so far generated 8.2 billion impressions and 4.8 billion video views worldwide through its digital platforms and international promotional activities.
With “Kalbimin Rotası Karadeniz,” TGA continues its strategy of introducing different regions of Türkiye through fictional stories featuring some of the country's best-known actors. The new production shifts the spotlight to the Eastern Black Sea region, highlighting its breathtaking mountains, forests, rivers, traditional villages, and centuries-old cultural traditions.
Filming took place across Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin, three provinces known for their dramatic scenery, lush tea plantations, historic architecture, and rich local culture. The production aims to present these destinations to international audiences through a cinematic narrative rather than a traditional tourism advertisement.
The project is produced by Sky Film, with Emre Oskay serving as producer. The screenplay was written by Emre Kavuk, while acclaimed director Ketche (Hakan Kırvavaç) helmed the production. Known for directing successful Turkish television dramas and films, Ketche brings his visual storytelling style to the latest Go Türkiye project.
Cemre Baysel and Mert Yazıcıoğlu lead the cast, marking another high-profile collaboration for the internationally recognised tourism campaign. Although detailed information about their characters has not yet been revealed, the story is expected to follow an emotional journey through the Eastern Black Sea, blending romance with the region's unique landscapes and traditions.
The Go Türkiye initiative has previously produced six successful miniseries, each focusing on different parts of the country and featuring well-known Turkish actors. Rather than simply showcasing destinations, the productions tell character-driven stories that naturally introduce viewers to Türkiye's history, cuisine, architecture, and local way of life.
Over the past several years, the campaign has featured stars including Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Serenay Sarıkaya, Afra Saraçoğlu, Engin Akyürek, Pınar Deniz, Alp Navruz, İlayda Alişan, Sıla Türkoğlu, and Serkan Çayoğlu, helping the project reach audiences across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
Following the completion of filming, “Kalbimin Rotası Karadeniz” has now entered the broadcast preparation stage. Additional details regarding its release date and international distribution are expected to be announced in the coming months as TGA continues expanding the global reach of the Go Türkiye brand.
