Are The Lawless London Lootings Comparable to The Arab Spring ?

If you ever wondered why London (amongst other capitals) gets the appellation The Big Smoke? Well now you can see, in sensational footage of London up in flames, why: But is this rage or fire in any way comparable to the Arab Uprising?

"Many people over at Twitter and the blogosphere are comparing the London riots to the Arab spring. Naturally, that insulted many online denizens. One person tweets:
"the Arab Spring is not senseless violence and stupidity. The London Riots are." "

How it all started (since yesterday it has spread to the rest of the United Kingdom and is still spreading like 'wildfire':)

"Last night London's notorious Tottenham district erupted in an orgy of destruction arson and looting in response to the death of local black man Mark Duggan."

"It is worthwhile to put down some thoughts several months out from the winter events that began in Tunisia and became what some call the “Arab Spring” or “awakening”.
