Bank Sarasin-Alpen (ME) Limited, a subsidiary of Bank Sarasin & Co., a leading Swiss private bank, together with its investment banking associate Alpen Capital (ME) Limited organized its seventh Global Fusion concert on Saturday, 22 January 2011 at the Convention Centre of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai. The event was very successful and attended by the organizations’ clients in the GCC as well as leading personalities from the region.
Welcoming the audience to the Global Fusion event, Mr. Fidelis M Goetz, Head of Private Banking, Bank Sarasin & Co., Ltd, Switzerland highlighted Bank Sarasin-Alpen and Alpen Capital’s efforts to continuously enhance the Global Fusion concert. He also spoke about the organizations’ winning the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Patrons of the Arts Award in 2010 for their contribution to the creative scene in Dubai.
The Dubai concert saw spectacular performances from the ten international artistes who were lead by the sitar virtuoso, Niladri Kumar. These included Talvin Singh, Bernard Schimpelsberger, Abbas Kosimov, Rakesh Chaurasia, Mattias Eklundh, Eliana Burki, Ali Obeid, Chloe Arnold and Agnelo Fernandes. In keeping with the organizations’ tradition of supporting local artistes, UAE musician, Ali Obeid performed with the other musicians from across the world on the Oudh.
