Moroccan prostitution market prospers

With the massive influx of Arab and foreign tourists to the cities of Morocco this summer as well as the return for vacation by Moroccans living abraod, the local prostitution market has shown signs of recovery as prices have gone up. According to Elaph website, it is a difficult task nowadays to find in a Casablanca nightclub a "good looking female candidate" to spend the night.
In the face of the growing demand, prostitutes increased their prices. In order to spend one night with a local prostitute, a man will have to pay from 500 dirhams (about 70 dollars) to over 1500 dirhams (about 170 dollars), the website reported.
An Elaph reporter in Morocco spoke with one of the prostitutes and asked her about the price for the night. The girl answered him: "If you have a place to spend the night, I will charge you 1000 dirhams (about 120 dollars), but if you do not have a place, you are asked to provide additional 400 dirhams (about 60 dollars), so I can hire an apartment from one of my friends. "
Sadly, for many young females in Morocco, prostitution is the "easy" way to earn money. Thus, the north African kingdom has a significant rate of prostitution. However, the authorities are trying to fight this industry from time to time. Since the beginning of 2009, there were hundreds of arrests of prostitutes in Morocco, according to local press reports.

I think that this social problem is due to poverty and ignorance of many young women who sell their bodies in return of money .Women need to understand that they to keep their reputation clean and preserve their dignity and honour.May Allah guide all of them.
Sadly there are some big 'Kawads' or pimps supporting the business of prostitution in Morocco by means of facilitating there night club business, hotel business, cafe and short-letting apartments. It is a shame the the woman have no regard for there dignity as Muslims and poverty in not a reason. The fact is any poor Moroccan can have olives and bread for 2 dirhams.
Why they are not curbing on this is because it is bringing the false economy of tourism in Morocco! This will not live for long and shame on all those Big Kawads!

i am working for overseas for so many years and i do agreed that a lot of moroccan ladies go into this business. i cannot blame them also because of poverty..what we can do?..do understand them and do take care always whenever we will used them. I know that if poverty do not exists they will not go into this kind of business
as a moroccan i have been to many countries and i f**** hookers in all of those countries. moroccans love to f*** and if you send in any of your females to morocco they will certainly be f**** willingly.
There are many Muslims countries are having high percentage of prostitution, even ladies with covered Abayas, but we never pointed any nationality or any country, why only Moroccans, because they dont hide, they are courageous, or because most of your Men fall in love with them,

Women are treated like slaves in many countries of the world and are onsidered as not the creation of God. Are treated like disposable items which are thrown out of their matrimonial homes at the instances of their husbands and are enouraged to go into prostitution. We also treated our young girls as if we do not give birth to them. Lack of true love towards our young girls is causing them to go into prostitution. We should love our wives and give our daughters the right to education like the sons. Give them a say in every society both women and girls. As we are all aware prostitution is the major sources of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases in our socities so let us love the females and give them a sense of belonging in our socities especially the muslim socities in the world.
so what is new? it is always like this anywhere in the world ..prostitution is every where and it is on the rise .. so why particualarly targeting morroco? women are demeaned everywhere ...they have to make a living like everyone else..and in return for the money they get..they get disease as well ... it is not a fair trade
