104 Chinese firms invested in Egypt
Chairman of Egypt's General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), Mohamed El-Ghamrawi, has said that there are 104 Chinese firms which have invested in Egypt with a total capital of L.E. 924 million.
At a recent seminar on Egyptian-Chinese investments, El Ghamrawi explained that there are several investment opportunities available for Chinese investors in various sectors. They include economic projects in the Northwest Gulf of Suez, as well as agricultural and infrastructure projects, especially in electricity sector.
For his part, the head of the Chinese delegation attending the seminar noted that there are 14 firms from Tianjin that have established investment projects in Egypt, stressing that there are several opportunities for establishing joint Egyptian-Chinese projects.
