ADDF and Sharaf DG partner at Abu Dhabi Airport

Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) and Sharaf DG have today announced the signing of a three-year partnership that will see the UAE retailer assume concessionary control of the electronics stores at Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) from 6 January 2008.
Dan Cappell, General Manager, Abu Dhabi Duty Free and Acting Commercial Director of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) and Salah Ibrahim Sharaf, Director of Sharaf DG, sealed the partnership with both parties expressing confidence in how the partnership will have immediate impact.
Commenting on the partnership, Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Chairman and Managing Director of ADAC said: “As part of ADAC’s ongoing strategy to deliver a superior customer experience, we are committed to forming partnerships with best-in-class operators that set new standards and add value to our customers.”
“We are confident that the deal signed today with Sharaf DG demonstrates our commitment to finding the right partners in order to enhance our offering for all passengers and duty free shoppers,” added Cappell.
In addition to the two boutiques in both the existing Terminal 1 building and the soon to open Terminal 3, Sharaf DG will be responsible for category and supply chain management at all Abu Dhabi Duty Free electronics outlets.

“The new partnership with ADDF will now enable Sharaf DG to now offer the same trust and value it has built in the regional market to international passengers through Abu Dhabi International Airport,” added Yasser Sharaf, Director of Sharaf DG.
Cappell also said: “The partnership signed today is one of many we have been pursuing in line with the overall ADAC strategy of partnering with operators that set new benchmarks in terms of product and service and are constantly looking to innovate and enhance the customer experience.” “We are confident that the partnership with Sharaf DG will deliver just that.”
Abu Dhabi Duty Free is currently negotiating with key businesses over several available concessionaires at Abu Dhabi International Airport with further announcements expected soon.
