ALUMCO LLC, a specialized aluminium façade contractor and UAE's largest manufacturer, has today announced the wining of a major contract worth AED 81 million (US$22 million), of its high quality aluminium façades to the prestigious Vision Tower a Dubai Properties' iconic landmark located at the main entrance of Business Bay.

Alumco’s engineers and designers have already started on the project design and installation will commence at the beginning of 2008. The projects architects are US based TVS and UAE based Dewan El Emara and Alumco’s work is expected to be completed by end of 2008. Alumco’s engineering team working closely with the international façade consultants Meinhardt have customized a special unitized system to be used for the tower. The unique façade system has been designed to withstand high wind loads reaching up to 6 KPA on some spots of the building by its specially designed double glass units, each proposed unit consist of 8mm outer pane, 12 mm airspace and 8mm inner pane. The design also gives the maximum allowed area for the vision panels with the unique type of glass allowing high light transmission.
The Vision Tower is Dubai Properties' iconic landmark that will house modern business centres and offices, affording its tenants easy accessibility as well as great visibility. It is ideally located at the main entrance of Business Bay, just off Sheikh Zayed road. Attracting the Middle East's premier organisations, The Vision Tower will be amongst the most prestigious power offices in the region. The Vision Tower rises up over 264 meters into the blue sky of Dubai.
Alumco’s portfolio includes major projects in various locations around Dubai. Alumco has previously completed several projects that include 15 towers at Burj Dubai Residence located at the Burj Dubai development, the Dubai Police Headquarters, Al Murroj Complex on Sheikh Zayed Road, Shatha Tower in Dubai Media City and 4 towers at the JBR Sector 6 complex.
The company has also done major expansion to its present production capacity of aluminium. Furthermore, Alumco has recently announced the start of its new AED 55 million glass processing factory located at Dubai Investments Park, built on a total area of 10,000 square meters, and furnished with state of the art machineries. With this opening Alumco now has a daily total production capacity of 2,000 square meters insulated glass and 1,000 square meters of frameless glass.
