Bahrain’s Al Wasat daily has reported that trade between Bahrain and China reached USD 588 mn in 2005, up from USD 553 mn in 2004, an increase of 6%.
A trade delegation from China has recently visited Bahrain to discuss bilateral trade, as well as the feasibility of Chinese companies setting up operations in Bahrain to service all the Middle East.
Bahrain’s honorary Consul to Hong Kong said that a number of Hong Kong and Chinese investors have been actively working with their Bahraini partners to pursue investment opportunities. (Source: Shuaa)
