Bahraini authorities are studying how much compensation should be paid to property owners affected by the new highway to the upcoming BD1 billion Northern Town. A new route for the controversial highway is said to be much less damaging than the original route, the GDN reported.
The original route of the highway would have seen it cut through the Saraya 2 housing development, resulting in the demolition of some 400 homes and other buildings.
