Bahrain: New applications for demolishing and rebuilding dilapidated houses

71 new applications for demolishing and rebuilding dilapidated houses have been accepted by the Bahraini Works and Housing Ministry, the GDN reported.

This brings the number of accepted houses to 161, rather than the originally planned 90 for 2005. The ministry has already accepted 40 applications from Manama Municipal Council and 50 from the Northern Municipal Council.
