Complaints that dilapidated houses are not being rebuilt properly were denied Wednesday by Bahrain's Works and Housing Minister Fahmi Al Jowder. According to the GDN, he said the ministry was rebuilding homes included in the King Hamad Scheme for Dilapidated Houses based on international standards.

All in all, the project will see some BD120 million spent on demolishing and rebuilding 6,000 dilapidated homes across the Kingdom over five years.
